The 18th Annual Chalk Art Festival is happening November 14, 2026!
The Chalk Art Festival was organized in 2007 by the Cultural Arts Commission as a Chalk Walk event with support from community partners. In 2008, the festival rebranded to connect with the Public Pomona Library’s Big Read event. Since then, it has been part of various literacy and community initiatives, including the Together We Read series from Pomona Unified School District, the Pomona Reads program from the Pomona Public Library, and other themes supported by the Cultural Arts Commission.
This event occurs annually every second Saturday of November, bringing together professional artists and students from elementary, middle, and high schools to create a walkable outdoor gallery. It is continuously supported by community partners, such as Pomona Unified School District, the Downtown Pomona Owner’s Association, The dA Center for the Arts, and many others!
